Universal Tapchanger Control enhanced to provide even more benefits to
both OEM's and customers alike!
Beckwith Electric now offers four M-2001C models to better match user
applications while offering price concessions including the Comprehensive,
Base-T, Base-RS, and Base-R.
- M-2001C Comprehensive
The Comprehensive can be applied to any LTC transformer, substation
regulator, or line regulator and provides every feature, function and
option available for a SCADA communicating device.
- M-2001C Base-T
The Base-T is intended primarily for those LTC transformer applications
not requiring SCADA communications. It includes all necessary communication
and inputs for transformer paralleling.
- M-2001C Base-RS
The Base-RS is our latest model and targets regulator applications requiring
SCADA communications through RS485 but comes with a new lower price.
- M-2001C Base-R
The M-2001C Base-R is the most cost-reduced model targeting line regulator
applications that do not require SCADA communications.
Some of the new features and enhancements of the new M-2001C controls
include:
- 10 embedded protocols: Expands the control's capability to operate
in any communications system, using any protocol requirement.

in direct sunlight. Operates in temperatures from -20 to +70 degrees
Celsius.
- Optional Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) is available for extreme
operating temperature requirements. The range is -40 to +80 degrees
Celsius.
- Additional front panel LEDs for Voltage Reduction, LDC and Communications
Block provide instantaneous recognition of system operating influences.
- Four-pushbutton interface makes menu navigation easier.
- Optional +12Vdc battery backup for fiber optic loop through communications
provides for uninterrupted communications if any control in the loop
loses power.
- Optional Ethernet 10/100 Mbps, with RJ45 connector, supports DNP,
MODBUS and all other available protocols over TCP/IP.
- Suppression of unused status screens minimizes the time spent scrolling
through the menu.
- LDC-Z provides a second method of Line Drop Compensation especially
for distribution substations.
The control may be ordered with or without SCADA communications capability.
The basic control is provided with a back-lit LCD display and an RS-232
port (for use with TapTalk® software) located on the faceplate. The
comprehensive control is provided with a back-lit LCD display and includes
remote communications capability with the faceplate RS-232 and an RS-232,
RS-485 and fiber optic ports on top of the M-2001C.
The M-2001C provides a menu-driven software through the HMI that prompts
the operator with an easy to understand display. Settings, metering, DNP3.0
