Replaces Moloney/Tempo LTC Control Panel

The M-0174 Tapchanger Control is a solid-state voltage control relay that provides convenient direct replacement for Tempo (Moloney) LTC Control Panels. The M-0174, which uses the M-0067E Tapchanger Control, is designed to mount into the existing control cabinet.

Hardware consists of a front panel with a hinge on the right side, and mounts into the control cabinet using the same door mounting hardware which must be saved from the original panel. The door mounting hardware consists of either a locking handle, or two thumbscrews, depending on the original panel configuration.

Features
Line Drop Compensation, Non-Sequential and Sequential modes of operation, and manual voltage adjustment capability is included.
The M-0174 features a voltmeter testing terminal, circuit breakers for the motor and for the voltage transformer, and a fuse (with a spare fuse contained in the fuse holder) for control motor power. The M-0174 also includes two terminal blocks on the rear for external connections.

Inputs
Power: A two wire input, requiring less than 3 W at 90 to 140 V ac, provides all power requirements. The unit should be powered from a potential transformer or from the voltage to be controlled.

Line Current: Line drop compensation is provided by a CT input with a 0.2 A nominal full scale rating. The burden imposed by this input on the current source is 0.03 VA.

Circulating Current: Parallel operation of transformers is provided by a second CT input with 0.2 A nominal full scale rating. The burden imposed by this input on the current source is 0.005 VA. A parallel input with a 0.2 A full scale rating gives approximately 24 V correction at approximately 90° for parallel operation with other transformers.
