The M-3890 IPSutility communication software package provides communication
with the Beckwith Electric Integrated Protection System (IPS) for setting
the configuration of the M-34xx series protection relays. The main purpose
of this software package is to allow users to configure IPS relays which
are ordered without the optional HMI front panel control interface. All
IPS relays are shipped with factory default settings that the end user
may want changed. While the intended purpose of this software is for reconfiguring
relays that do not include the HMI control panel, it can also be utilized
with units that do include the HMI control panel as well.
NOTE: IPSutility is automatically installed when any of the IPScom™
software programs are installed; IPSutility shares some of the IPScom
files, If you are updating your version of IPSutility, download the new
version, and then replace the IPSUTIL application file in the IPScom M-38XX
subdirectory. If you have any questions about this procedure, please contact
