PROTECTION
Beckwith Electric offers power system protection for elements of transmission, distribution, generator and distribution generation interconnection. These are digital multifunction, zone-of-protection oriented systems that offer advanced attributes.
Protection: Meets or exceeds pertinent ANSI and IEC standards for application and conformance. Elements designs improve security and dependability of the protection.
Metering: Instrumentation-grade metering for measured analog quantities, as well as calculated quantities such as sequence voltage and currents, power, VAr, demand, frequency, and positive sequence impedance.
Logging: Event logs and trip history logs are available to aid in testing, commissioning, event investigation and forensic engineering.
Communications: Communications with local PC as well as remote communications to SCADA or other control system are available in various standard protocols and physical medium (protocol availability and physical medium support dependent on given system)
Digital Oscillography: Multiple records for long duration are available to analyze events in a graphical format including analog measured quantities in the time domain, plus RMS and low order harmonic view, along with status of I/O. In addition, power, vector diagrams, impedance plots and more are available.
