Beckwith Electric Takes Part in the CEATI Smart Grid Conference

Largo, Florida – October 10, 2018 – CEATI, the Centre for Energy Advancement through Technological Innovation, held its 3rd annual Smart Grid Conference on October 1-2 in Anaheim, CA. Wayne Hartmann, Senior VP of Customer Excellence, delivered the presentation “Extended Capabilities of Advanced Volt/VAR Distribution Automation Controllers (ADVVOCs) for Data Acquisition and Use Into Higher Power SCADA/DMS Applications.”

The presentation explored the topic of obtaining more value from a DMS using advanced controls of load tapchanging transformers, voltage regulators and line capacitor controls. Applications discussed during the presentation included improving Asset Maintenance and System Monitoring, as well as the benefits of deploying a Distributed Intelligence architecture.
