Largo, FL - March 19, 2007 - Beckwith Electric Co., Inc., a premier provider of goods and services for industries involved with electric power, communications and advanced electronic technology, is now registering attendees for its tenth annual Protection & Control Seminar to be held July 22-27, 2007 at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida. This seminar includes four days of intensive training and instruction.

Learn how enhanced generator and transformer protection can support the power system while maintaining integrity even longer - without tripping - avoiding blackouts.

Learn more about the nuances and special protection requirements of the IEEE 1547 standard regarding tie point protection, as well as the interconnected generator protection functions required for anti-islanding, faults and abnormal operating conditions.

Also, for the first time, this year's seminar will include control sessions on topics such as LTC/Transformer Control, Transformer Paralleling, and Volt/Var Management.

The Protection & Control Seminar will be of interest to utility engineers, consultants (IPP/DG designers), equipment/control engineers, generator packager and manufacturer engineers, as well as others who specify protective and control equipment and develop settings for these devices.
