FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NxtPhase Appoints Beckwith Electric as Contract Manufacturer of Relays and Recorders VANCOUVER, BC - Feb 22, 2005 – NxtPhase T&D Corporation, a leading provider of digital relays and recorders and fiber optic solutions for the electric power industry, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Beckwith Electric for the manufacturing and warranty service of the NxtPhase relay and recorder product family. Under this agreement, NxtPhase T&D will continue to design, sell, and support the popular NxtPhase TESLA recorder; the L-PRO, B-PRO, T-PRO, and F-PRO line, bus, transformer, and feeder protection relays, while Beckwith Electric will provide contract manufacturing services. This change was undertaken when strong demand and growth for these products during the second half of 2004 outstripped the capacity of NxtPhase T&D’s previous contract manufacturer. According to Jeff Vaughan, NxtPhase T&D Director of Product Management: “When reviewing the capabilities of various contract manufacturers, Beckwith Electric stood apart based on their strong reputation as a quality supplier of similar equipment to electric utilities.
