M-6280-Small

The M-6280 Digital Capacitor Bank Control is a microprocessor-based capacitor bank control for remote capacitor automation.

Front Panel Controls
Menu-driven access to all functions by way of seven pushbuttons and a two-line alphanumeric display. There are two programmable passwords available to provide various levels of access to the control functions. The Capacitor Bank control offers a 2-line by 20 character LCD display (LED backlit) for enhanced viewing in
direct sunlight.

Front panel LED indicators show the following control conditions:
REMOTE/AUTO, LOCAL MANUAL, ALARM, NEUTRAL UNBALANCE, CLOSE, OPEN, CPU OK, RSSI and TX (Transmit) and RX (Receive).

M-2980 CAMP™ Utilinet® Remote Communication Module

The M-2980 CAMP™ Remote Communication Module provides a remote communications interface for the M-2501B Autodaptive® Capacitor Control. The M-2980 provides remote capacitor control, system data monitoring, alarms and failure polling of remote capacitor banks from an RTU or Scada Master running DNP3.0, connected to a UtiliNet® Series II WanGate Radio with appropriate interface programming.

Pole-Top Distribution Capacitors

The M-2501B Autodaptive Capacitor Control (ACC) switches pole-top capacitor banks according to changing system VAr needs, resulting in better distribution line voltage regulation and lower system losses. This action also increases supply equipment capacity to provide more power to distribution customers.

M-2941 BecoEye+ú Handheld Field Communications Device

The M-2941 BecoEye+™ Handheld Infrared Field Communications Device communicates all M-2501/M-2501A/B Autodaptive¨ Capacitor Control operational commands, setting changes and data retrieval functions. The M-2941 includes an RS-232 serial data port and M-0423 Null Modem cable for uploading (19,200 bps) data records from Blinc'd capacitor controls to a host computer. The unit is powered by one (1) nine Volt battery. The unit also includes a separate 3 Volt Lithium battery (950 mAh) for SRAM backup.
