Announcing New Board Members

I take great pleasure in welcoming David Martinez as a new member of
Beckwith Electric's Board of Directors. We also welcome Chao Ming, David's
wife, as she comes with him for his first board meeting on December 11.
Chao Ming is a well known artist, specializing in Chinese art. Anyone
who has visited us recently has seen her painting of the tiger that greets
you as you go up our entrance staircase to the second floor. Evie and
I met David and Chao Ming in 1993 during a People to People trip from
Switzerland to Romania and back. We have been good friends ever since.
I also take great pleasure in welcoming my son-Tom Beckwith, our VP of
Sales, to the board. He and his capable group have been successful in
obtaining orders to maintain our growth in spite of Sept. 11 and the state
of our economy. The electric utility industry needs us more than ever
with our leading products for modernizing the electric power infrastructure
so as to reduce the costs of supplying electricity.
