Protection Systems feature the use of Integrated
Protection Systems®, micro-processor-based relays which use digital
signal processing technology to provide protective relaying functions
for generator, intertie or transformer protection. Each relay provides
"pick and choose" protective functions which allow users to
select functions to customize relays for their specific application needs.
Each Integrated Protection System also includes the IPScom® Communications
Software for monitoring and recording capabilities, and offers options
such as:
- IPSplot® Oscillograph Analysis
Software to display and print oscillographic data
- A Man-Machine Interface module to provide local operation and metering
- A Target module with target and output LEDs
- A redundant power supply
Protection Systems can be housed in enclosure cabinets.
