Distribution Capacitors
The M-2501B Autodaptive Capacitor Control (ACC) switches pole-top capacitor
banks according to changing system VAr needs, resulting in better distribution
line voltage regulation and lower system losses. This action also increases
supply equipment capacity to provide more power to distribution customers.
- Stand alone control with all the Autodaptive intelligence to control
pole-top capacitor banks without making setting changes for seasons,
load changes or circuit changes
- With or without communications capability The control can integrate ANY serial communications media
- Reduces distribution system losses by switching banks at the appropriate
time based on load changes
- Reduces operational costs, maintenance costs, and has a low first
cost
- Easily integrated with legacy radio systems using RCCS centralized
VAr dispatch program
- Supports PDA/local interface for metering, settings, configuration
and data download— avoiding the high cost of laptops for field technicians
When used with the M-2937 Communications Accessory, remote control, query,
auto-alarm for failed com or blown fuse detection can be realized.
